RPG Systems - Affinities, Leveling & Bestiary

Sector Zero isn't just about reflexes. Four weapon affinities - Kinetic, Energy, Incendiary, and Cryogenic - each deal amplified or reduced damage against 8 enemy classes. Equipping the right loadout for a mission means studying the bestiary and matching affinities to the enemies you'll face.

Your pilot levels from 1 to 30, earning passive stat bonuses and unlocking nodes in the Combat skill tree. Six skill nodes offer meaningful choices: faster fire rate vs. increased shield regen, wider spread vs. focused damage. Every level-up makes the next sector slightly more survivable.
The Bestiary catalogs every enemy encountered - complete with a rotating 3D sprite display, combat stats, affinity weaknesses, and lore entries. Some entries stay locked until you defeat an enemy a certain number of times or discover intel during boarding missions. It's an encyclopedia of the Hollow threat, built through gameplay.
